Description of activity in the organization

The main interest of our research unit is represented by functional and phenotypical analysis of NK cells in different subsets of HIV+ patients (exposed-uninfected, long-term non-progressing, and immunologically-discordant treated patients) and in HCV+, HPV+, HSV+ patients before and during treatment; analysis of innate immune responses and editing of adaptive responses by NK cells during HIV infection; characterization of innate immune factors driving in vivo Mth reactivation; functional and phenotypical analysis of microparticles released by NK cells.
